The launch of Amazon Kindle presented the opportunity to redefine what was possible in the e-book industry. This campaign introduces a ground-breaking yet simple way to bring books, newspapers, magazines, and blogs on the palm of your hands. This commercial translates the concept by actually portraying books, newspapers, magazines, and blogs on the palm of your hands.
The trick was to find a simple, organic and alluring way to portray the idea. As the Producer, I explored an array of different techniques including temporary tattoos and projection onto the hands, among many others. In the end, I went with technology, creating a virtual mapping of the hands and projecting onto them in post, which is fitting for a product like the Kindle which has since revolutionized the way we read.
